John,
Don't know if you look at this but I have to say THANK YOU. Every great show I download seems to have come from you. You must have one of if not the best collection of live Dead ever established. Thanks for sharing your wonderful sounds with the world. I'm greatly looking forward to the 87-89 years because they were MY years. Can you give me any insight as to whats up. Send to me direct shawnerie@wilsonproducts.com. I look forward to talking with you. You have given me hours of enjoyment.....Thanks
Shawn Erie

The real kudos go to Matt Vernon and the GDIAP group. They have been working on this project for years, and I'm only involved with getting them from their hands into the Archive.

I just found out about this when I just tried to upload the pure audience of the Schoeps spaced omnis from 7/2/88. This is what I originally seeded on BUDD in 1997 and was used for the matrix that is on the archive. How do I contact these guys? I tried to search the yahoogrops for GDIAP and didn't find anything.

Of I'm not mistaken, some of those folk are from the old dankseeds group, now apparently abandoned. Their goal was to seek out and find THE BEST source for EVERY available show from EVERY available band... and were doing a fine job of it... that's where the '.dnk' on some of the shows you've seen came from.

If it is 'danked' by the dankseeds group, It IS the best copy they could find. If the same sort of laborious effort is going into GDIAP, be glad you aren't a part of it. It's hard work, and you can trust that they not only are not elitists, but that they are working hard, constantly to get the best possible shows up on the Archive. Just trust them. I do.
